Great Blu Ray PlayerReviewed by Carl LaPlante, 2010-03-14
Very pleased with the performance of the Panasonic blu ray player. Not only great to watching blu ray movies on it but also upconverts standard dvd's to look great as well.
Pretty good for the priceReviewed by P. Schuh, 2010-03-14
Got this Blu-Ray player when I ordered my new plasma. Only used it a few times. Great picture and sound quality. A little slow in starting up and loading. Remote is fine: not ideally laid out but easy enough to figure out. Seems to be a good value for the money.
Panasonic DMP-BD60 Blu-ray Disc PlayerReviewed by David A. Kettwig, 2010-03-13
after ten years of putting up with an old DVD player, we finally gave in to the flaws of old technology and bought this blu-ray especially ackowledging how incompatible old technology was with our Samsung LCDHDTV....it has made our film viewing significantly better...and the bad news is it took too long to convert...the good news is not only the sound and picture quality improvement, but affordability, thanks to AMAZON.COM....first I did the research on blu-ray players....there are many, so I went with buyer comments and evaluations...the one with the best rating was this Panasonic...I even went to BEST BUY to see for myself...sure enough, the young man who waited on me not only confirmed I had selected the right blu-ray but he said it was the one he had purchased for himself....if it had not been for the $50 difference in price between Amazon and Best Buy, I would have purchased it there--notwithstanding NO TAXES NO SHIPPING CHARGES....and while there may be more expensive blu-ray's that have more bells and whistles, if you are looking for excellent film viewing, I do recommend this product without reservtion..DK
First Blu-rayReviewed by Bill Dingblox, 2010-03-13
Product is what it claims to be. Picture quality is great. As far as reliability, have only had for a month, so can't grade higher. Was hoping for Pandora accessibility, but was misinformed from third party.
Great player for the priceReviewed by Don Karnage, 2010-03-10
For the price, I think this is an excellent blu-ray player. It also does very good with DVD up-conversion and makes DVDs look fantastic. The player has worked reliably for me so far and hasn't had any problems with any of the movies I've thrown at it. As with all blu-ray players, it's slow getting ready to play a movie when you first put it in. It's usually takes 30 seconds until you get to the menu screen, but that's the blu-ray standard for you. The player has all the features I need, so I'm quite happy with it overall. On the downside, the case is pretty cheap and flimsy looking. It probably wouldn't hold up well if it was going to be moved around a lot. Mine just sits in the equipment rack behind doors, so it's out of sight and not an issue for me but that might be for you. Despite this, I think it's hard to beat this player considering the low price.
