Primitive, small remote, poor functions & menus

Reviewed by Eugene Tenenbaum, 2010-01-27

Though technically correct, it has very small remote control with small buttons spaced only 9 mm (less than 3/16 inch) horizontally and 10 mm (13/64 inch) vertically - quite difficult for pressing with fingers even of man's average thickness in Europe or USA. It is lacking fast forward and reverse speeds between 4X and 64X, of which 8X and 16X are very useful, needed, and desired. It also does not have the search function and it does not show the total play time or remaining play time on its poor display. The graphical interface (menus) is substandard and scant. All together, it is poorly designed player though functional and quite sturdy. By far the worst is the remote control.
Instead, Toshiba SD4200 offers an ergonomic remote, richness of functions, intelligent menus, and a legible display.

Does the job, but with little kids the remote is hard to keep track of sometimes. The unit does not have FF/RW buttons on it, so apaprt from loading the dvd everytime and sitting through the previews it is a good little player for the money. TAPE THE REMOTE SOMEWHERE SAFE!! :)

I bought this and about a month and a half later it started to glitch out and started having all kinds of issues!

Great DVD player for the price

Bought this DVD player for a total cost of $28.00 dollars, this included tax and shipping. It is easy to set up and operate.

Doesn't play formats advertised

Reviewed by Oklahoma Cattle Company, 2009-12-09

I bought two of these because amazon listed them as being able to play
MPeG 4. Well, they wouldn't do it; and when I looked at the manual
it clearly stated that this model wouldn't play CD-R disks or MPEG4.
I'm going to try to return these.
